Huawei’s MateBook E was only released in April, but you can already save £400 on the Intel Core i5 model. Crucially, that new £599 price tag includes the keyboard cover, so no need to pay extra for one. However, just make sure you select i5 after landing on the page – it defaults to £150 off Core i3 instead.
Get the MateBook E deal from Huawei
This deal is made even better thanks to the range of discounted accessories Huawei is offering. £100 off the latest FreeBuds Pro 2 earbuds is a great deal, while the Sound Joy Bluetooth speaker is a solid choice at under £70. The free backpack offer is no longer available, but you can still save £80 on a slightly different style.
All of these are totally optional, though – you’ll still get £400 off if you just want the tablet and keyboard. If you’re happy with an Intel Core i3 processor instead, that’s also down to £449.99 with a £150 discount.
So, what actually makes this such a good deal? Essentially, it means you can get flagship-level performance from a mid-range device. As our 4-star review explains, other highlights include a stunning 12.6in OLED screen, great cameras and even full stylus support. If you don’t need lots of ports or all-day battery life, it’s a great option.
For context, the top-spec Surface Go 3 (without LTE) and keyboard costs almost the same price for Black Friday, but it only has a Core i3 processor and inferior 10.5in display. Even with recent discounts, the cheapest Surface Pro 8 configuration and keyboard will set you back over £800.
Unfortunately, Huawei doesn’t sell the MateBook E in the US. Unless you’d like to import it, deals on the Surface Pro 8 or even Surface Pro 9 are your best alternatives.
