Every Genshin Impact build can be divided into two core parts - weapons and artifact sets. The game’s official social media accounts have already confirmed the arrival of two new Catalyst weapons in the upcoming update 2.5.

The official Genshin Impact Twitter account has revealed the two weapons that will arrive in the upcoming update. The five-star Catalyst Kagura’s Verity will be the signature weapon for the recently confirmed Genshin Impact character Yae Miko and it has the following stats:

Weapon Type: Catalyst Base Attack: 46-608 Secondary Stat (Crit Damage) 14. 4% - 66. 2% Passive: The weapon user will gain the Kagura Dance effect when using an Elemental Skill causing the skill damage to the character wielding this weapon to increase by 12% for 16 seconds. This effect has three stacks and the character will gain a 12% all elemental damage bonus when they possess 3 stacks

The second weapon is named Oathsworn Eye, and it’s confirmed to be a four-star weapon. A recent tweet by a credible leaker named Ubatcha1 has revealed that the weapon will apparently be obtainable for free by completing a couple of quests in the upcoming Genshin Impact update 2.5. The new weapon has the following stats:

Weapon Type: Catalyst Rarity: Four-star Base Attack: 565 Secondary Stat (Attack percentage): 27. 6% Passive: People of the Faltering Light: Increases Energy Recharge by 24% for ten seconds after using an Elemental Skill

Oathsworn Eye could be a great choice for DPS Catalyst characters, which include Ningguang, Klee, Mona, or the recently announced Yae Miko. Even though miHoYo revealed her signature five-star weapon, Oathsworn Eye could still be a great choice for players who won’t spend their Primogems on the weapon banner. The weapon’s passive has led many players to believe that this weapon is a great choice for Yae considering that she apparently has Energy Recharge problems.

Yae Miko’s secondary stat is Crit rate which means that she will most likely be a strong Genshin Impact DPS character. She is also confirmed to be an Electro Vision holder which is usual for Inazuma characters. Yae’s Elemental Skill allows her to move rapidly leaving behind stacks of “Lethal Sakura” that periodically deal damage to one nearby enemy target. This type of skill means that she could also be a great fit for the sub-DPS role. Yae’s elemental burst will cause lightning and thunder dealing AoE electro damage.

Genshin Impact is now available on Mobile, PC, PS4, and PS5. A Switch version is in development.
