Genshin Impact is HoYoverse’s most popular title, with a fan base that exceeds 60 million active monthly players. The game often collaborates with different services, which almost always results in free promotional codes for players. For example, during the KFC collaboration event, players were able to collect a special type of wind glider named Wings of Feasting, which quickly became a fan-favorite.

Genshin Impact’s official website revealed that HoYoverse partnered with Google Play to offer players a 3-month trial for YouTube Premium. However, according to the announcement, fans must meet a couple of requirements to unlock this trial. This offer apparently applies only to new users who are not part of any of YouTube’s premium services. Players need to be careful with the trial’s end date since the service will automatically charge them the standard subscription price once it expires. According to the post, fans who want to claim this reward need to do so before May 31, 2023.
Players seem to be very happy with HoYoverse’s decision to give out free rewards more often in the last couple of months. In honor of the Player’s Voice Award that Genshin Impact won at The Game Awards 2022, fans were gifted 800 Primogems that were spread over a four-day period. Even though the game was nearly rivaled by the runner-up Sonic Frontiers, HoYoverse’s online action RPG managed to win after a controversial battle.
These Primogems allow players to pull on the current Limited Character Banner that features one of the most popular roster additions in Genshin Impact, the Anemo user Wanderer, previously known as Scaramouche or The Balladeer. While he is not considered the strongest DPS unit in Genshin Impact, Wanderer offers a unique playstyle that can take some time to get used to, especially for new players.
Some fans decided to skip his banner as HoYoverse’s recent official announcement confirmed the arrival of two new Dendro characters, Alhaihtam and Yaoyao. Alhaitham will be a new five-star Dendro DPS character, while Yaoyao is confirmed to have strong supportive capabilities. Even though HoYoverse is yet to confirm their specific release date, recent rumors have been hinting that Alhaitham will arrive in the first part of Genshin Impact update 3.4, which should drop around mid-January.
Genshin Impact is now available on Mobile, PC, PS4, and PS5. A Switch version is in development.
