The game’s official social media accounts have already confirmed three new characters in for update 3.0. It seems that developer HoYoverse won’t stop there as new leaks have revealed that the second Sumeru update will also bring three new additions to Genshin Impact’s playable roster.

A popular Genshin Impact leaker named SpendYourPrimos has revealed more information about one of the upcoming characters named Candace. She will apparently be a new four-star character who is expected to arrive in Genshin Impact Version 3.1. According to previous leaks, Candace is expected to be a new Hydro polearm character. When it comes to her design, multiple leakers have mentioned that she is based on the famous Egyptian Queen Cleopatra. A big part of the community expected Candace to be a new support character since she has the ability to create shields.

Leaks claim that her Elemental Skill is similar to Diona’s and Beidou’s skills. Candace also claims that she can apparently see the future, but it’s unclear if this has any impact on her play style. According to Genshin Impact’s usual update schedule, Version 3.1 should arrive around mid-October, however, it should be noted that some upcoming banners will receive some adjustments which could impact the update’s duration. Candace won’t be the only new character to arrive in the update as multiple Genshin Impact leaks confirmed the arrival of two new five-star characters: Cyno and Nilou.

Both of the characters were also featured in the most recent Sumeru teaser which gives additional credibility to the leaks. Cyno has been rumored for a very long time since he was a part of the game’s official manga. His outfits are inspired by traditional clothes from Ancient Egypt, and he has a unique headpiece that resembles the Egyptian God Anubis. Cyno will apparently be a new five-star Electro polearm user with strong DPS capabilities.

On the other hand, Nilou will apparently be a new Hydro sword support or sub-DPS character. This was hinted at by recent leaks about her skills which will apparently have a very long cooldown. However, the leak also revealed that players can turn Nilou into a DPS character but in order to do so, they have to unlock all six of her Constellations.

Genshin Impact is available for mobile, PC, PS4, and PS5, with a Nintendo Switch version also in development.
