Each of these regions has an Archon who serves as its main protector and the main storyline usually revolves around them. Genshin Impact’s Archons are often considered the strongest characters within the playable roster as they have the potential to fill almost every team composition in the game.

A new post on the Genshin Impact Leaks subreddit has apparently given more details about the upcoming Fontaine region and its Archon. In fact, according to the leak, Fontaine will have two Archons who are referred to as the “current Archon” and the “late Archon.” The late Archon will apparently have a teen female body type with white/navy blue hair, an appearance based on Seele, which is a character from Honkai Impact 3rd, HoYoverse’s second most popular title. The leaker also describes her as sly, cunning, and mischievous.

The current Archon will have an adult female body model with gold hair and a gradient toward blue while also described as solemn and righteous. She will apparently be based on Honkai’s Durandal, a high-ranking officer within the Schicksal organization. She is also the captain of the Immortal Blades and one of the S-Rank Valkyrja. There is currently not a lot of information about the Fontaine region which is confirmed by many leakers to be the next major region to arrive in Genshin Impact.

Recent leaks have revealed the first Fontaine model which was taken from the game’s original beta. According to the model, Fontaine’s main city could be attached to a vertical platform, leading many players to believe that it could be sticking out of a waterfall which could make sense since it’s known as the Hydro region.

Fontaine is expected to be placed north of the recently released Sumeru region, and it will probably be connected to Liyue. Genshin Impact’s official story has confirmed that the people of Fontaine value justice overall, and they are also known for their devotion to technology. Every region in the game is based on a real-life location and the home of the Hydro Archon is inspired by France.

Genshin Impact is available now for PC, PS4, PS5, and mobile devices. A Switch version is in development.
